RONALD D. BOIRE PRESIDENT OF U.S. TOY BUSINESS
Respected Merchandising Executive Tapped to Lead America's
Greatest Toy Store
Wayne, NJ (June 29, 2006) - Toys "R" Us, Inc. today announced
the appointment of Ronald D. Boire as President of Toys "R" Us, U.S.
effective July 17. A highly talented and experienced retailing and
consumer products executive, Mr. Boire, 45, joins Toys "R" Us from
Best Buy Co., Inc., where he has served as Executive Vice President
and Global Merchandise Manager since 2003. In his new position at
Toys "R" Us, Mr. Boire will oversee all merchandising, marketing and
operational responsibilities for the 587 store division. Mr. Boire
will report to Gerald L. Storch, Chairman and Chief Executive
Officer, Toys "R" Us, Inc.

With two decades of executive management experience, Ron has
distinguished himself as a leader in the retail and consumer
products industries by identifying customer needs, developing

At Best Buy, Mr. Boire led the merchandising organization,
overseeing buying decisions for consumer electronics, personal
computers, entertainment software, appliances and services for the
company's 758 stores nationwide. Prior to joining Best Buy, he spent
17 years at Sony Corporation serving in a number of key marketing,
sales and management positions before being appointed President of
Sony Electronics Consumer Sales Company. In this role, he was
responsible for managing sales and distribution of Sony's consumer
electronics products across the United States. During his tenure at
Sony Corporation, Mr. Boire also served as President, Sony Personal
Mobile Products Company.
