TOYS "R" US OPENS NEW FULFILLMENT CENTER IN GROVEPORT, OH TO SUPPORT EXPANDING TOYSRUS.COM BUSINESS World's Greatest Online Toy Store Gears Up for Peak Selling Season WAYNE, NJ (September 14, 2006) - Toys "R" Us today announced the opening of a 574,000 square foot fulfillment center in Groveport, OH to support the company's expanding product assortment on Toysrus.com and meet increased demand during the upcoming holiday season. Located at 2829 Rohr Road, the new fulfillment center will create approximately 300 full-time and 400 seasonal, part-time jobs in the area. The company signed a multi-year lease with Duke Realty Corporation for the site, which is designed to handle the volume of the peak toy-selling season. "As Toys "R" Us prepares for the upcoming holiday season, we're aggressively adding to our online product assortment every day because our customers expect the largest and best selection of in-stock toys and games that kids truly want this holiday season," said John Sullivan, Senior Vice President, Toysrus.com. "With the opening of this new fulfillment center, we are prepared to handle shipments to our customers nationwide, while managing our expansive inventory of the products that will top Christmas wish lists this year." Earlier this year, Toys "R" Us contracted Exel, a leading logistics provider, to deliver merchandise it sells through its Internet site. The new fulfillment center at Rickenbacker Global Logistics Park will be operated by Exel and has already begun accepting products from vendors. Outbound shipping of merchandise to customers will start on Monday, September 25. Toys "R" Us began operating an independent Toysrus.com website on July 1, 2006, in order to provide a more integrated online and offline experience for customers. The new Toysrus.com website offers online shoppers a crisp, easy-to-navigate online store featuring the broadest assortment of toy and baby items, as well as important information about each product so customers can make informed selections. Since the launch of the new site, fulfillment has been handled from a 340,000 square foot fulfillment center also located in Groveport.
